Dear Eagle Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! This year marks 86 years of learning, growing, and thriving together. Since opening our doors in 1940 and becoming a public Montessori magnet in 1994, Garden Oaks Montessori has served as a model of authentic Montessori education in a public school setting.
I am honored to begin another school year with both new and returning families. My personal commitments this year are to protect and strengthen our Montessori identity, to ensure public Montessori works for all children—including our most at-risk learners, and to ground our work in culturally responsive, developmentally appropriate experiences.
At Garden Oaks, our goal is to nurture the whole child while pursuing academic excellence. Through our Montessori pedagogy, individualized instruction, and meaningful connections, we are preparing students to become well rounded “Garden Oaks Successes” in the real world. Our educators are passionate, our students are capable, and our families are essential partners in this journey. That said, I truly believe we are better together! I encourage every parent to get involved within the classroom and around campus to deepen the impact that this academic experience can have on the trajectory of your child’s life.
