Our Athletics & Extracurriculars
Theater:
Our campus proudly offers a theater program for students in grades K–8. Middle school students have the opportunity to participate in UIL competitions, where they showcase their talents and skills. Under the direction of Ms. Kristy Lozano, students explore the fundamentals of theater, including acting techniques, stage presence, and performance skills. They also gain hands-on experience in stage design, set construction, and costume creation, allowing them to develop both their creative and technical abilities. Our theater program encourages creativity, confidence, collaboration, and self-expression while providing students with meaningful opportunities to shine on and behind the stage.
Environmental Science:
As an Environmental Science Magnet School, our campus grounds provide students with unique opportunities to experience and learn from the natural world. Our outdoor learning spaces include a PTO-sponsored garden in partnership with Urban Harvest, a pocket prairie, a pond, a chicken coop, and a butterfly garden.
These outdoor environments serve as living classrooms where students can explore scientific concepts through hands-on learning and observation. Maintained by students, families, and staff, these spaces are an integral part of our school community and help foster environmental stewardship, responsibility, and a lifelong appreciation for nature.
Tennis:
We excited to partner with Space City Tennis and the Houston Tennis Association to provide tennis programming for our elementary students. Through this partnership, students have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tennis, develop athletic skills, and build confidence in a fun and supportive environment. The program promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition while introducing students to a lifelong sport. We are proud to offer this enriching opportunity as part of our commitment to providing diverse extracurricular experiences for our students.
